I really like this movie. The storyline is very similar to Dangerous Minds but the movie itself is much more realistic and less "Hollywood." The relationship between the French teacher and his high school class was eye-opening - much more confrontational than any experience I've had. I wonder if that's the normal style of discourse in French high schools, or if this was an exception? I also got the impression that the teacher learned far more from the students than they did from him. |
