Did I See The Same Terminator Salvation Film?

Because I thought this movie was a huge disservice to the Terminator franchise! Mc G is by far the worst director in Hollywood today. Here was a great opportunity to create a film about a hopelessly bleak post-apocalyptic world where Terminators ruled and human civilization is on the brink of extinction and McG failed on all levels! Aside from what we've already seen in Terminator films, this one lacked originality, a message, as well as visionary direction! This is what the aftermath of Judgement Day is supposed to be: lingering damage from a mass nuclear fall out (radiation everywhere), the lasting effects of psychological warfare/drama, people dying or at least permanently scarred, starvation, looting, chaos, just to name a few -- not the family friendly cast members who look clean cut, beautiful, and women who spent vast amounts of time on personal appearance. This cast could've all stepped in from your average TV hit drama by dusting a little bit of dirt on their face while pretending to play war games. Pathetic! Where was the emotional distress, the fear/long term psychological effects of surviving Judgement Day? Why were so many questions left unanswered? Why not exterminate Kyle Reese when captured instead of using him for bait; very un-Terminator like! Why does Marcus sacrifice himself when other donors might have been available from injuries suffered in battle (after all he was human!)? Aside from Marcus, this Terminator film lack originality from beginning to end and a lack of direction really showed (no wonder Bale had a break down on the movie set)! This movie represents what 'Batman & Robin' was to 'The Dark Kight'! They turned the Terminator into a film that would reach all age levels just for the sake of making a profit! The T-800 introduction got me all nostalgic but even that fight scene was a rip-off of T-2. Someone call Chris Nolan please and fire McG now!!!
