Comedic and nuanced- not for everyone- but for anyone who appreciates the notion of "happily ever after" having a million jagged edges.
JohnK. & Maya R. as the leads absolutely grew on me- and I ended up caring about their search for putting down their roots a lot.
Some of the trip vignettes and characters worked better than others. By mid movie the pace and depth of the story picked up a lot.
Some outstanding comedy espeiccally for me- in the trip to Madison.
Also some deceptvely simple yet powerful moments of poignancy.
I could see this film again.
Quiet, fun, and yes in the end memorable. |
