Love the Chemistry, Great Laughs

I saw a sneak preview of "The Proposal" this weekend starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. It was every bit as funny as the trailer. The chemistry between Reynolds and Bullock is EXCELLENT, the comedic timing is perfect, and the story is genuinely good. It is the perfect summer date night romantic comedy (I'd say even more comedy than romance- so it is pretty guy friendly).
There was a sold out audience at the screening I went to and there were non-stop laughs, literally from the opening to the credits.
This is Sandra Bullocks best comedy in YEARS and she looks FABULOUS too, definetly her best performance since Miss Congeniality and if this film is any indication she will be back bigger and better than ever- if it gets the audience it deserves she will launch a huge (well-deserved) comeback. Great to see an actress who is down to Earth and not afraid to laugh at herself. And Ryan Reynolds is warm, gorgeous and genuinely very funny in his own right.
Go see it, there are a lot worse movies out there right now.
But leave the kids home, there is nudity (male and female), a stripper, and some sexual-type jokes, mild language. |
