It Started Out Good Until "SHE" Came On Screen..

We (husband, son and I) are total car movie junkies. We've seen them all, from the great (Gone in 60 seconds) to the worst (Fast & Furious 2) and I as much as we like Jason Statham movies, FF2 has now been replaced with Transporter 3 as our least favorite "car" movie. It's sad, but true.
After seeing the previews, we knew it wasn't going to be as good as the first (we all know sequels are never better) but we wanted to see it just because Statham kicks butt.
It started out good (the first 10-15 minutes). I actually thought we were in for a treat until Valentina came on the screen. Her charactor completely ruined the entire movie. I kept asking my husband why Frank Martin doesn't just knock her ass out and put her in the trunk or better yet, kick the stupid chick out of the car and let her blow up already considering he had no idea who she was in the beginning. I couldn't understand why he'd keep her around especially after the "bad guy" was already about to shoot her just before they took off in the car.
Her accent, her lines, her actings just sucked the life out of the movie. We were there to see great car chances and fighting scenes. Not watch some moron woman talk about what she wants to eat every 10 minutes and attempt to seduce him. I mean seriously.. She was awful. If we wanted to watch people fall in love, we would have gone to see another movie or just stayed home and turned on the tv.
I hope if they do come out with #4, the writers, producers and director get back to the basics and leave the chit chat and lameless out of it. Please no more women, I am one and I don't want to see anymore in these movies. Just a package of top secret weapons or even an ice cream cake delivery would make me happy at this point.
Don't waste your money at the theater, wait for the DVD so you can at least mute the tv through Valentina's parts.. She really was THAT bad.. |
