Where to start... Im a dedicated fan of the games and went to see the movie at midnight and was severely let down. The game has such an epic story, the movie had so much potential. Instead we were given a bore-fest with too much of the irelevent and not enough of the shooting. There wasnt much bullet-time either. There were a lot of epic gunfights I cannot believe they left out too, like the one at the Aesir building. They tried to cram in the entire story into an hour and a half long movie which results in ALOT of talking through a majority of it. Thing is they could have keep the plot flowing better without a lot of it. For example, in the 10 hour+ game alex's death takes up about 5 mins of it. In the 1.5 hour movie, its about 20+ mins. I really questioned some of the decisions they made with the story. The demonic stuff towards the end was a little iffy, but it at least picks up the pace of the movie at the end, just in time for the jarring end to hit you. Maybe worth a watch if your bored and not already exposed to the stellar game. |
