My wife and I went to see Max Payne last night, and she and I both enjoyed it. The new 007 trailer IS very nice also!
Again...my wife enjoyed it also.
What is getting me is that there are no less than 15 user reviews on here that unmercifully slam the film...and if you read what they say, its blatantly apparent that the users have not even seen the film! It's Friday night, no date, no friends, they sit here on the net and get on the "slam a movie they have not seen band wagon." How sad is that?
At any rate, its a good action/cop/vengence flick, very Punisher like, no spoilers, but people who actually see the movie will understand the visuals vs. those who haven't seen it and report of "demons and monsters?" Um..no...those are not really in the movie...try seeing it before you attempt to ruin it for others and make things up-and it has nothing in it that would even warrant a comparison to House of the Dea, other than the video game history. Worth a watch, a B to B+, so much better than The Happening, not as good as Iron Man or The Hulk...but great action, great visuals, overall very good acting with the exception of veteran actor Beau Bridges.
Also, one of the actual critics who gave Max Payne a D...also said that The Last Winter was the scariest movie of the year...it was scary in that a film that ends up with mystical ghost moose creatures being the bad guys could be made and marketed to the public. |
