I'm not usually one to condemn the critics. They do a job, and have more often than not allowed me to skip a notoriously bad film. However, in the case of Ice Age 3, I've never been so dumbfounded by critics reviews so far off the mark.
Of course this is not Hamlet, Citizen Kane, or even Titanic - but it's not meant to be. It's a clever, exciting, humorous family film. Of course the plot is a tad predictable, but do we really need a film for kids that confuses them, or leaves them wondering about their existential existance?
Come on...LIGHTEN UP. I took my two young kids and we laughed, we shouted, we ate popcorn and had a great time. I wish I had this kind of amazingly fun film experience every weekend. |
