I had heard a few times from people that got to see early releases how good this movie is. Oprah talked about how great Beyonce's acting was USA Today, The New York Times and ****.com all praised the movie but I was still skeptical about how well Beyonce's Knowles would portray Etta James. And honestly as ****.com put it...it is one of the best performances this year. Columbus Short nailed Little Walter to the point where you could almost actually feel his pain. All of the characters made you feel that you were in that time. I cannot say enough about this movie and will probably end up going to see it again. Don't listen to he said/she said go see this movie it is worth the price of admission. This is a definite must see. |
