I felt the movie moved too fast at the beginning - not giving you the chance to digest the storylines before moving on to the next scene - then it go too slow at the end. Go figure! I felt Jeffrey Wright, Columbus Short, Eamon Walker and particularly Columbus Short gave great performances..but Beyonce...no, no no! She lacked the sassiness needed to portray Etta James. When she cursed in the movie, it just came off bland..not much personality at all. |
