Jodie Piccoult's novel drew me in from the very first page, and I was so exicited to see the book made into a movie. To see all the images in my head play out in front of me.
As the movie went on I was okay with it, the acting was good and the characters came across great but then it got more into it.
So much was changed. Campell was added to the background, Julia wasn't even in the movie, Jesse didn't even looked troubled, Brain hardly was in the movie. The movie mainly revolved around Kate, which was different from the book.
I was ready to walk out, but I had to see Kate live and give the turn around at the end, with Jese being a police officer and her being a dance teacher...but instead she died in the movie!
Yes, the movie would have been good if you didn't read the book, but if you read the book be prepared for utter disappointment. |
