Intelligent discussion of intelligent design

For a country based on freedom I am surprised that our free thinking universities would shun free thought and experimentation and fire or black list professors who even mumble the phrase "intelligent design" under their breaths. This documentary and presentation of the questions of our genesis ultimately leaves the viewer with one burning question: If Darwinism is more than just theory, despite the lack of specificity in its premises, then why not let scientific method ultimately bring out those findings. Because if even Dawkins himself would entertain the possibility of intelligent design, then it is still a valid possibility and theory.

There is wit intertwined with the cerebral discussion. The analogy of control of thought during the Nazi regime of WW2 Germany starts right from the beginning of the movie and the quick flashbacks continue like an MTV video. And by the end of the movie you truly understand the direction the United States is going in and how scarey that kind of control over what we are taught in universities really is. The diversity of the interviews runs the gammut of race and religion. There is no right wing religious zealots here. In fact, intelligent design resides in the gray area between the extremes of a Judeo-Christian God and atheism. The explanation of such is very helpful in getting a true definition and context, unlike what we get from mainstream media.

And yes, Ben reminds us of our favorite Ferris Bueller moments. Take a chance and go see the movie.

By the way, Michael Moore challenged us to open our minds and do the same. So now it's time for the liberals and left-wingers to quid pro quo and do the same.
