WHAT A MESS

Could anything else go wrong in a movie about the world's most dysfunctional family? I don't get it. It seems like Hollywood is intent on convincing everyone that American families (and Puerto Rican) are nothing but battlegrounds. Even so, why pick what is supposed to be a time of fantasy for children and coming together among loved ones and make it more destructive than being in Iraq? Arguing families, and brothers and sisters wrestling around on the living room floor, is not funny, just sad. No wonder our country has lost its spirit, even our movies can't find hope. |
