I was more than a little disappointed with Defiance. I thought it would be an inspiring triumph over tragedy tale that are much of what Edward other films have been about: Glory, Courage Under Fire, The Last Samurai. All of these movies were superbly written and acted. Defiance left me with the impression that the actors were looking for an inspiring story rather than giving us one. There was no real back-story or character development. The main characters, Daniel Craig included, don't seem to have any real direction. I couldn't identify with the characters. Save your money on this one. |
