as a result of this film. Mind you, "good" is from my perspective, and perhaps not Mr. Black's.
This movie is wretched, through and through, so please throw your $10 into a toilet, as more amusement will be gained from watching it swirl about as you flush it down.
That having been said, I do try to find the Bright Side in most things, and have gleaned two small blessings for Jack Black's career from this venture. Michael Cera is no comedic genius, but he is a virtual magician of mirth, when compared alongside the sluggish Mr. Black. There is hope, through their juxtaposition, that film companies will now clearly see his lack of talent, and offer fewer or no parts to him in the future. Similarly, the projected dismal reception of this movie should further illustrate that he cannot act pained if you sever his leg, so moviemakers will discontinue ill-advised gambles that this man can make them a profit. The only crux in the profitability factor would seem to be that he walked in off of the street each day without need for makeup or hair assistance, which would have been a cost savings.
Please don't bother. |
