I have to start by saying that this movie is absolutely hilarious and doesn't deserve some of the reviews it's getting from hackneyed user reveiwers who aspire to be Roger Ebert. What did you expect from a PG-13 comedy, people? For those who wish for an R rating, it's only because they wanted to see naked women prancing about rather than Oliver Platt, who was also hilarious in this film. I laughed until I couldn't breathe at various times throughout this movie and believe that it is one of the funniest of the summer; funnier even than the new Night At The Museum movie. Jack Black and Michael Cera did what they do best and that is play their roles to make people laugh. If you expect to go to a comedy and learn something about yourself or be enlightened, you have already arrived for the wrong reason. Just sit down and loosen up and maybe you'll enjoy the movie for what it's worth and manage to have a few laughs with the rest of us. |
