If you're an Adam Sandler fan, this isn't your typical Sandler we've all grown to love but I'll admit, my son, husband and I all walked out smiling. This movie is one of our favorite family movies of the year and its suitable for small kids so if mom and dad enjoy seeing him on the screen, bring the kids because it doesn't contain any "r-rated" humor.
This is definitely not Zohan nor Happy Gilmore. It moves along and the story is actually pretty funny with of course a happy ending. What Sandler movie doesn't have one? It's a nice change although we do love his crazy antics this kid friendly movie can be enjoyed by all ages. The movie theater was packed with kids from 4 to 80. Although he's a bit toned down in this one, you still get those lmao moments from him.
Was it worth the $30 bucks for the 3 of us? I would say so. It didn't feel like we flushed our money down the toilet to watch another boring movie this year. It was a very pleasant surprise after my son and husband wanted to see it. I'm glad I didn't debate with them to see another movie. |
