Interesting if not gripping

It's a real accomplishment to turn a true story into a compelling narrative on film. This movie does a pretty good job of mixing actual with staged footage and constructing the plot to create suspense.
This movie is worth seeing, but it really doesn't reach the heights of emotion for the audience that the filmmaker captures in those who retell the story.
I am not sure how the filmmaker could have improved this movie, but I have a nagging sense that it doesn't quite succeed to the degree of its potential. |
