One of the best films of the summer is sliding under your radar right now. And it's one you need to see on the big screen, before it goes away.
I know, when people hear "documentary," their eyes glaze over. But this film is actually more of a caper -- an adventure along the lines of Ocean's Eleven. AND, it just happens to be true.
We know it's true because there's an absolutely incredible amount of original footage from 1974. Just unbelievably well-chronicled from the planning stages to the event itself. How fortunate that Phillipe and his co-conspirators had the foresight to record it all. This film has been begging to be made for almost 35 years.
And just think, when it wins the Oscar for Best Documentary, you can be one of the few people who can say, "I told ya so..." |
