I caught this movie this weekend and I'm at a loss as to why people are complaining. After reading many reviews on yahoo, I noticed people where whining about Reeve's being "too cold" and having not falling for his co-star Jennifer Connelly? What? He is playing a alien, who does not know human emotion, of course he is supposed to be cold and distant? Love interest? He is a alien for crying out loud. This is a science fiction movie, which I thought was done quite well. Albeit it would of been a tad more interesting if the story could of gone more into this "Society of Planets" Reeves represents but all in all I thought the movie was good, great special effects, human emotional arks. So if you like a thinking person's science fiction movie, go see it. If you want to see Reeve's putting the moves on a woman, look elsewhere. |
