The movie primarily showed you determine your fate. At each turn, who he was determined his future. His old fiance dumped him because she did not wish to live with a person with his baggage. The daughter of his Dad's business buyer wanted him because of his baggage - he was unstable and needed care, his family and her family were connected in many ways, he accepted her for who she was. The blond wanted him as he was (for her own purposes), but not in the way that he desired. There was no way he was going to keep that girl: not that she was close-minded: but because of who he was in relation to who she was. She had no skills, she was a needy person who only had her looks and sexuality. She could not give him the care he needed. Ultimately, as the movie showed, everybody got what best fit their character, nothing more and nothing less. With that said, did they get what was best for them? To really appreciate this movie you need to have a conversation with someone else and at least talk about the answer. |
