This movie is over-rated; I frequently go to movies and often see artsy type movies like Rachel Getting Married. However I cannot see why this movie is receiving the response it is other than SONY flooding the market with its own reviews. When I bought the ticket at a major chain cinema I was warned that the movie had high walk out numbers which should have been a red flag (since it was in an artsy movie area in NYC) but I still went ahead. The camera shooting was annoying and didn’t add to a realistic effect which I’m sure Jonathan Demme the director was aiming to do. The script was painful and there were many moments in which it was hard to watch. I cannot fairly recommend this movie to anyone. YOU ARE WARNED, THIS MOVIE IS PAINFUL AND ANNOYING. |
