Without giving away any spoilers:
The screenwriter must have written the screenplay at Starbucks with expresso's lined up to ensure multiple twists and angles in this movie. So much so, that as the story unravels, it presents itself as somewhat muddled, if not convoluted, as you try to assemble all of the pieces together amidst the numerous and generic action scenes.
The large audience was full of chatter and anticipation at the opening of this movie...at the end of the film there was notable silence as everyone marched out with not one person clapping....this is unlike other films such as with the opening of IronMan, etc..
There was not one truly memorable scene in this film and the opening sound track was.... well, not memorable at all.
There is no ooh-ahh "cool factor" where an M6 laboratory genius displays a fancy device or widget for Bond or for his car.
This film just does not capture the charming, suave, debonair 007 secret agent that personifies a true James Bond character.
The movie was written and directed as if another actor such as Bruce Willis was running around doing all the things he is not supposed to, and against his superiors wishes, creating havoc and chaos..... and for that reason, they completely missed the mark for a true 007 branded film.....as a generic action film, Quantum of Solace was very good, however, for a James Bond 007 film, I expected this movie to be a step above all of the rest......so for me, this movie was nothing but a "Quantum of Chaos". |
