Being An Anime Fan who ran an anime club back in the 90's, I got to see the original Dragonball Anime series fansubbed.
This movie is a really horrible adaptation, all fox studios did was acquire the rights, slap a crappy story together loosely based on the original and throw it in the theater.
People do yourself a favor, watch the original anime series to get a clue about this movie befor you give it a great review, especially if you don't know jack about the original series.
First off, Goku was originally a kid when he was trained by his grandfather, then he stepped on his grandfather when he turned into the saiyan ape,
He did not go to some funky fresh high school, he was too busy kicking but and taking names.
the worst part about all of this, Hollywood is acquiring the rights to more anime's to turn into movies, Leonardo DiCrapio is one of the people behind it, I spelled his name like that because that is how I think of him.
They are going to Kill the following anime's
Akira, Space Battle Ship Yamamoto, Dr, Slump,
Space Hunter Cobra to name a few that are confirmed.
Neon Genesis is another one rumored to be made into a Hollywood disaster.
you tube has an anti dragon ball thing going, a lot of people are signing up because this movie is a horrible mess that shouldn't exist.
wait for it to land in $0.99 bin at wal mart to watch it.
or when it is on tv in 6 months, it's that bad |
