Engaging story of a woman and community driven by dispair, boxed in by few choices. Extreme adversity, as those of us who have experienced it, tests us like nothing else. This is an honest account of desparation. The movie slips here and there, revealing a degree of the amateur, in some confusing edits, closeups where medium shots are called for, and a poor casting choice for the oldest son. A good movie, but is not for those without empathy. |
