I took my 13 yr. old son to see Frozen River, and while he would never admit it, I know he was more engaged in this film then others we saw: Tropic Thunder, Hancock, Stepbrothers, Disater Movie, to name a few. These films were passable at best, some of them barely tolerable.
From the moment the film began you could have heard a pin drop in the theatre which is almost unheard of in NYC. The audience was mesmerized, including my son.
I can't understand why it's rated R. The description of this film is not compelling, but the film is, from start to finish. |
