if you entered the movie theater expecting a hard core pee your pants thriller scary movie, then you may be disappointed, BUT this was NO disappointment if you're a die-hard x-files fan. if you've seen it you know what i mean. from the first moment that the theme music started, i knew chris carter wouldn't let us down. the story line brought me back to season 1-2ish, and the mulder-scully banter was dead on. the new characters were great supporting roles, and the storyline was creepy, with several jumpy moments. i was a little worried (although looking back i'm not sure why) that they would try to keep up with the blockbuster summer movie theme and go over the top...but this story stayed SO true to x-files theme that the average critic might be let down, but a true x-files fan will stand up and cheer for this latest installment....it was another great x-file!!! |
