with all the teen movies that have been coming out lately (juno, superbad, etc.) this movie does the best job of actually showing teen-life. People who did not like this movie came in expecting to see a hip, rip-roaring comedy. that is not what this movie is. this is a romance movie with a hint of comedy and a pretty darn good one at that. It does a great job of depecting real-life characters who are put in real situations that those real-life characters would actually allow themselves to get in. It also does a good job of depecting modern teenage life. It actually shows teens that don't drink. i know it's an amazing concept most people probably think that teenage non-drinkers don't exist anymore but it was nice to see some of those characters being depecticed in a film. If you are going to see this movie don't go in thinking you are going in to see hilarious moment after hilarious. there are very humorous parts in this film but they are few and far between. if you are going in to see this movie clear your mind of all expectations at let it take you for a nice light, heart-warming ride that you will surely enjoy. |
