I took my eight year old daughter to see the Hannah Montana video concert today and found myself surrounded by 100+ enthusiastic young girls. Of course each girl had a parent who, like me, appeared to lament the eighteen dollar ticket price and looked as uncomfortable as a Nascar fan at a symphony. But the movie started, we placed our 3-D glasses on and watched Miley Cyrus entertain our children for over an hour and a half. The show was good, clean fun. The behind the scenes shots were interesting and the songs were appropriate for the age of the audience. I must admit that I was very aware of the fact that I am out of touch with this generations musical taste, but then again, I used to sing along to Eddie Grant's 'Electric Avenue', so what do I know. The price of the ticket seemed steep but then again it is a steal compared to the price of an actual concert seat and the view on the big screen is much better. If you have a child that is a Hannah Montana fan, take her. She will enjoy the show, you will tolerate it, and at the end of the day you will get a big hug. And that is worth the price of any concert ticket.
