Spike has illustrated an American History lesson. The story is about a time that many wpuld want to forget. Because it is about the soul of America thus the racism, it makes no real difference if the story was told from a Japanese, Chinese, American Indian, Latin, etc. perspective. If the story deals with the hidden history of racial interaction between the races as told expressly from the minorities perspective. The reaction to most viewers is that it is draining. Some people can take it, others can not. But when there is truth to it. I think everyone is moved to feel something. |
