This movie follows a female dinosaur "Dolly" from birth through death. It tells of the perils she faces in an eat or be eaten world through the eyes of fossil hunters. The movie does a nice job of combining historical fossil footage, recreated scenes, and digital animation of prehistoric scenes to provide an educational experience that is entertaining. The story moves quickly and can hold the attention of both young and old. The movie could be improved by exploring (and showing in digital animation) more "sea monsters" of the ancient seas. |
