I think this film will suffer due to a terribly misleading ad campaign. They are making this film out to be "Superbad 2"....and it could not be further from that. Don't get me wrong it does have its funny moments (a large portion of which are shown in the trailer)...but it is a MUCH MORE SERIOUS film than Superbad was. It is not nearly as light hearted as that film and really deals with very serious relationship issues.
I cannot stress enough...this is a very good film...BUT going into it expecting one thing and getting another is VERY UNEXPECTED to the viewer.
Go see it if you still feel like it after reading this....BUT...if you are expecting a raunchy teen sex comedy like Superbad...you might want to skip it...because it is much more serious in pace and tone from that film. |
