Don't worry; this review is absolutely spoiler -free. It is for those die-hard fans that are worried about how the movie lives up to the success of the series. And to those fans, I say you can finally heave a sigh of relief because the movie does not suck at all. In fact, to use Samantha's words - IT IS FABULOUS! Me really likey!!

It takes a fan of the series to have a deeper appreciation of this movie. The movie has all the elements of the TV Series that we all love and missed. The sardonic wit, the it-feels-good-to-be-in-love moments, the bonds of friendship between our four lead girls, the sense of fun and abandon, the turning-the-table-on-men, the fashion, New York City, and of course the sex - -albeit toned down just a teensy-weensy bit.

And I get that, because these girls are no longer 35 year-olds, they are now more mature and are taking their lives, loves, and relationships to the next level. It was also nice to see familiar faces;all major and key players in the series that had a significant role in Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha's lives join them on-screen.

Before watching the movie, I was able to read some lukewarm reviews about the film and that got me down a bit, but after seeing the film for myself I understood why these critics gave such a critique - -they weren't fans of the series. Some thought the movie was too long, but for us fans the 2 hours and 30 minutes were enough if not short. It's because watching the movie was like spending time with old friends you haven't seen for the longest time.

I remember that when I tuned in regularly during the show's run, after each episode, I recall thinking that I wanted to spend more time with these girls. Every episode was not enough. Watching the show was like hanging out with real friends. And that's how I really saw and felt for Carrie, Miranda, Samantha, and Charlotte. So after a few years of not seeing them and hearing from them, I expected this movie to serve as some sort of a reunion. For us to get re-acquainted, get an update on what’s been going on with their lives, and to hang out with the girls we’ve grown to love. And the movie does not disappoint. It’s everything you want and wished for an SATC movie to be. If you were a follower of the series. If you're not, go watch another flick.

So to all SATC fans, see you at the theatres. Because I am definitely going to see this movie again to hang out, laugh with, cry with, and have fun with our girls and our friends Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha. It is because life rarely lives up to our fantasies, and we need friendships that are real or reel to get us through it all.
