Sure, it's not the same as the show was. OF COURSE it's not. But it seems to me that most of the people writing about how awful it is probably didn't even go see it. They just wrote that based on the previews and their own opinion of the show.
The stories of Charlotte and Miranda aren't contrived. That's real life. And while the Carrie and Samantha stories are a bit out there, they go along with what the show always was.
All in all, the movie was good. Laugh-out-loud funny in parts. But of course, the best parts of the show were (most of) the fashions and the city of New York itself. |
