Great movie, but too many holes

From the perspective of criticizing Christianity, this is certainly something no one can see its coming, far better than The Davinci Code. However, there are much less flaws in Davinci Code than this one in terms of beleivability.
First, if someone has lived since 14,000 yrs ago, he would have a long period of time with no teeth. Teeth can't regenerate as other part of the body, because at least the enamel and most part of dentin, once built, cannot be replenished if worn out. Not until recent 20 yrs that people can have successful dental implants. Intervertebral discs have similar problems that once they are compressed (by gravity), they cannot be regenerated spontaneously.
The other major flaw being that everyone has an ID, especially living in an organized society. No one can be Professor without good references and the evidence of credentials. That would make John Oldman no way to hide.
Apparently his fellow professors are not really smart, especially those with Biology and Medical background. One can test his genetic markers to tell his age. For example, the accumulated mutations in mitochodria DNA or in the genome. He would have much less mutations compared to ours. |
