Captivating; at times. Memerable; most definitely

In Little Ashes, Beltran and Pattinson truly commit to their roles as lovers and it's so interesting to watch their relationship grow as the movie plays on. At times the movie was funny but I'm sure this time around Pattinson meant it to be. I was especially impressed with Beltran's portrayal of Federico in the movie. My attention would gravitate from Pattinson to Beltran throughout the movie when I thought Pattison would hold my attention.
I must say, one downside to this movie would be that it doesn't really focus on the art of Salvador Dali.
The direction of the movie was fantastic. Especially the last 10 minutes; amazing. I can honestly say if the ending were directed differently my feelings for the movie would have been changed completely.
Because this movie is being shown in limited theaters, and I was fortunate to see it in San Francisco, try to go see it. Watching it would be a good experience for those who want to see Pattinson in a non-magical role. Also, this movie is different from those that are out in theaters now and, trust me, Little Ashes will not disappoint. |
