Burn after reading was quite possibly one of the biggest wastes of my movie dollars ever! I typically like Coen Bros'. comedy-style - dry humor, etc. However, this movie was just horrible in my opinion. The story just never really came together well - they try at the end, but it was not compelling at all. The acting wasn't bad, the biggest problem I had was just the story itself! There was also some unnecessary gory parts which I know don't bother most people, but personally I don't care for and usually avoid movies that will be gory for that reason. I was quite suprised at what this movie actually turned out to be - not the comedy my husband and I were expecting by no means. It was a depressing, slightly gory, nonsense piece of movie trash. |
