This is Howard's best directed movie up do date, but that is not saying that it was great. The acting is superb. The problem is the story line...it drags. Three quarters through the movie I found myself looking at my watch wondering when it was going to end. At the end of the movie, a few people clapped and yelled some expletives about President Bush. That was perhaps the highlight. I give it a 'B' because of the good acting, not the story line itself. We saw Grand Torino right after this movie. GT is definitely a better movie. I say watch GT and rent FrostNixon. |
