After experiencing the last two scary movies, the epic movie and date movie, i was pretty skeptical about this new spartan movie, although , it did have potential. long story short, my GF convinces me to go see this movie and so we went to check out the early screening. The movie wasnt too bad, no movie could suck as hard as epic movie, and i have to admit the jokes have gotten better since then. acting wasnt too great and the bugdet for the canyon set looked really bad. i wished that deidrich bader got more screentime, for he was one of the main reasons i even wanted to check this movie out.The spider man 3 reference was so crappy, it rly was crammed in there last second, and some of the jokes were pretty outdated(american idol stuff), a few were lame (paris hilton).That aside, The movie was ok, worth renting , but i wouldnt consider buying it. its probably one of the better satire movies by these same directors, for what thats worth. |
