Some are saying if you liked Borat you'll love this, but that isn't true at all. Borat to me was surprisingly funny, with many laugh out loud moments. Bruno definitely had some funny moments, but it really was nonstop gay stuff, and just not nearly as original or creative as Borat. The movie doesn't really make fun of homosexuality, it makes fun of those that oppose it, homophobes.
Be warned that the male nudity is EXTREME. I have no idea how they got away with an R rating. If you were offended by the naked man on man scene in Borat, you'll want to skip this one. Personally i could do without the graphic male nudity, and don't find it all that funny, but I can look past it and not let a scene like that ruin a movie for me.
The various scenes when he puts people in uncomfortable situations are pretty freaking hilarious, and worth watching if you like that kind of humor. It's nowhere near the best comedy or anything, so i don't know how people are giving it A grades, but it was generally entertaining enough to be worth watching, as long as you aren't easily offended by the material. |
