The first Step Up was a movie about the rough but lovable street boy and the prima ballerina girl who fall in love somewhere between dance routines and tights. Step Up 2 had a very simple and unimaginative story line but it did what it set out to accomplish- make one remarkable dance movie. The acting was better in this movie than the first, even Channing Tatum who only appeared in about 5 min of this movie did a better acting job than in the whole first movie. The dance moves were hot and the emotion of it was alive. I think we can all agree no one wanted to see this movie for the acting or storyline...its all about the pumped up soundtrack and gravity defying dance moves. You get what you want out of this movie...but nothing more. |
