Disappointing..and I am a big M Night Fan..

I am a big M Night fan; however, this film was a disappointment.
The movie was quite suspenseful, throughout, and I was always looking for things and thinking about what is going on and why. There were some very jolting events, with some violence and blood that I enjoyed that jerked me in my seat, and I actually twisted my neck a little bit.. LOL. It is hinted on very early what they "think" about why this is happening, but it is never really confirmed. Betty Buckly was in a scene that had nothing to do with anything and her demise really contradicted why people in the film thought this was happening. That scene could totally have been left out. (I'm trying not to give anything away here) As I said, there was suspense building throughout, a bit of blood, that was fine, but a bit too bloody for me to pop a DVD of this in my player to go to sleep to. With no classic M. Night Twist, no clarification on what was "HAPPENING", and a predictable ending (hubby predicted the ending), it was disappointing. I think I'd wait until it was on cable. I'd feel guilty telling somebody to go spend $8 per person to see it. Geez..another 18 months till another M. Night film...it will be a long wait. |
