I don't want to waste a lot of time writing this, but do feel I should send out a warning.
Please, do not see this movie.
M. Night Shyamalan has become famous (or infamous) for throwing twists into his movies. I sat through the entire movie thinking, "The twist will have to make SOMETHING relevant," only to be completely disappointed at the end.
I kept hoping the acting would improve. I kept hoping the writing would get better. I kept hoping for some stylized direction that would make the time worth it. I kept hoping for something, ANYTHING compelling to happen.
As I left the movie theater, all I could say was, "That was the worst movie I have ever seen in the theater in my entire life."
Shyamalan officially owes me 90 minutes of my life back.
