In the first hour or so I wanted to walk out so badly.. Can we say Boring..
The beginning Nim was a book reader addict and puts herself into the story. Well I didnt really care that she fantasized herself in the stories she was reading. At with that I thought that was what the whole movie was going to be about. I hadnt seens reviews, So I went totally unknowing what it truly was about.
The last hour the movie redeemed itself..
Nim and her dad lived all by themselves on this remote undiscovered island. Something happened to her dad, so I wont tell what. And Nim became scared. Only contact with the world was by computer, and of course in contact with her favorite story book writer. Whos afraid of everything. Which she is her only access to help.
At that point did the movie become interesting.
And I dont want to ruin it.
Very Very very clean cut movie that is safe for families to go and see. There will probably be a sequel.
Kids will like it alot, It was just average for me.
Good acting, Good scenery, Fair story line, just because we heard it all before.
Its a basic lifetime channel movie. |
