The 3D Imax glasses aren't very comfortable for 1 size fits all, the lens touches your eyeballs, gross and the viewing window of the polarized lens were much smaller than for coraline.
this movie is a much lighter mood than coraline. the beginning 3D anime is great with the galaxies and the ball and paddle, the hamburger looks so real that you want to take bite out of it. the story has some teachable moments such as finding someone who will love you for who you are, don't treat people different b/c they look like "monsters" good feeling bonding movie with some heartwarming scenes and realistic emotions. the movie has some fun moments, the blue blob guy is funny. there are some violent parts like beheading a machine robot. pretty good action, but overall a fun movie to watch. the middle did drag a little but nonetheless much more light hearted than coraline. kids should like it.
overall, the 3D is fun to watch. is it worth $16 at Imax? probably not, but nonetheless nice cute movie with great 3D moments. there is nothing after the credits, but there is a little slippet after the first set of credits. |
