"I've Loved You So Long" haunts you for nearly two hours. It requires no macabre imagery to disturb you in a profound way. For most of the film, you are left trying to peel away to get at the hidden layers of this movie's carefully crafted characters. Anything to get a glimpse into what makes the protagonist tick. In this respect, "I've Loved You So Long" is more clever and complex than your garden variety suspense flick. |
