Having been born in N.M. I have meet my fair share of Buds. People who are poor, drunk and have no hope and no brains. Of course these types are found everywhere. The only real problem I had with the movie was the mobile homes, as if thats where everyone in N.M. lives. Some do not live in mobile homes honest! Some live in tents. Bud seems to stumble into doing the right things, with the help of his daughter. She is the real thing. A great actress. The scenery makes me homesick. The story is well developed and funny. The mom toward the end of the movie was not needed. The kids in the classroom all seem to be from dysfunctional homes but who's house is not in one way or another. For example just last week in my basement where I keep my meth lab... |
