You Don't Mess With the Zohan was a journey back to Adam Sandler's good ol' days as a quirky character (such as Billy Madison or Happy Gilmore). However, Zohan is a much different role than some of Sandler's previous encounters. To say the least, in the end, while funny, Zohan proves to be shocking on levels even a bit out there for Mr. Sandler. The movie is funny, and full of near non-stop laughs, but the sheer lack of point and or direction of the film leaves one scratching their heads and wondering if they should be laughing or slapping themselves (or whomever they are with) for laughing. If you like Sandler films, see this movie. Otherwise, run away fast. |
