...unless you are a Sandler fan. The problem with the negative reviews is they dont give Sandler credit for coming up with a unique storyline. Some people just want sequels I guess. Zohan is fresh and the gags are new and funny (at least to me). Most are completely different. It takes a genius to come up with really new stories/slapstick. I confess I am a true fan of Sandler but this one, like "Click" has a really good message. Sandler has the talent of making simple jobs that people are stuck with their entire lives, seem like amazing, creative opportunities worthy of our admiration. That is a pretty nice accomplishment in a world filled with cyber-hate, wars and negativity. |
