I grew up in Chicago with a single mother. The pressure these families and mothers face is incredible. The desire to do good and be good is present but so difficult when faced with consistent dispair and depression. This movie did an excellent job of illustrating this point. Movies entertain and provide you with a mechanism to escape. This is a funny movie that teaches and allows you to escape the worry and stress of life for two hours. As you watch the movie imagine yourself as the mother in Chicago not for 2 hours but for 18 years? |
